    We celebrate 162 Years since the first Mass at Immaculata Church on December 9, 1860. Churches in those times traditionally began as grass-roots initiatives by Catholics who desired a place to worship in their neighborhood. 

    Not so with Immaculata. It was special from the beginning.

Support Archbishop Purcell's Vision

Holy Cross – Immaculata Parish depends on the support of the pilgrims that visit us on Good Friday, and throughout the year, to maintain the health of this shrine to our Blessed Mother. Archbishop Purcell first asked the faithful to climb the steps in 1859, praying for the successful construction of this Church. The tradition continues every year on Good Friday!


We are grateful for your support of our beloved historic Church, the "Beacon Star" established in honor of the Immaculate Conception, to keep watch over Cincinnati.
